Aloha from the Kona Ballroom dance Club,
Since we switched our monthly dances from the Kona Outdoor Circle to the Elks Lodge at the Kona Old Industrial, we have seen an increased number of dancers attending our events. The great dance floor, a very reasonable no-host bar, longer dance hours, all seem to appeal to the Hawaii dance community.
For 2009, we will usually have or monthly dance every third Sunday, from 6 pm - 10 pm.
Due to the success, we are now having a second monthly dance on first Fridays 7:30-10, offered either as a dinner/dance combination, or dance-only choice.
Dinner will be served at 6.30 pm, dancing will start around 7.30 pm. The end will depend on how long there will be dance enthusiasts, somewhere between 10 pm and 11.30 pm. Dinner reservations are required by Thursday.
The price for the dinner (depending on the date, it will be either steak, fish or chicken breast) is $ 12. The dance itself will be free for KBDC and Elks Club members, and $ 5 for guests.
